Assistant Event Marketing Manager - Trade Show

About This Role

Manage and develop a team of event marketers to generate sales leads and build brand awareness for Leaf Home in a designated local market. This role involves planning event calendars, managing budgets, and ensuring successful event execution at trade shows and community events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive event-based marketing initiatives to generate sales leads
• Identify, schedule, and plan event calendar for a team of event marketers
• Responsible for budgeting and staffing for identified local events
• Attend trade shows, home shows, fairs, festivals, and community events, and manage event marketing team in generating new sales leads
• Assist in distributing event marketing material and equipment set up and tear down
• Collaborate with local Sales Operations and Installation Managers to grow brand presence
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Event Marketers and create accountability through established goals and KPIs
• Assist in the development of timelines, organizational plans, and internal communications
• Track and report event metrics to evaluate performance and ROI of events
• Responsible for exceeding sales lead quotas based on established KPIs
• Travel within the assigned territory as needed

Requirements

• Experience within event marketing or a related field
• Experience in lead generation and/or experiential marketing
• Experience with limited/single market budgeting and planning in multiple markets
• Knowledge of current best practices and new strategies for event marketing
• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and pre-scheduled events
• Experience recruiting, onboarding, and training marketing and show staff
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access)
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation to/from job site
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Experience within event marketing or a related field; experience in lead generation and/or experiential marketing; experience with limited/single market budgeting and planning in multiple markets; previous management position in direct-to-consumer marketing preferred.
