This Asset Manager role involves financial and operational oversight of a portfolio of stabilized and lease-up residential assets. The position aims to maximize asset value and deliver risk-adjusted returns aligned with investor objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive financial and operational performance across a portfolio of stabilized and lease-up residential assets
- Execute approved business plans to optimize NOI and achieve investment objectives
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance revenue, manage expenses, and strengthen overall asset health
- Lead monthly financial reviews, translating budgets, forecasts, and proformas into actionable insights
- Prepare and oversee asset-level reporting, cash flow projections, and performance summaries
- Monitor loan structures, covenants, and maturity schedules to ensure financial readiness and compliance
- Build strong, productive relationships with third-party property management teams
- Support lease-up strategy, pricing, and operational execution to drive occupancy, revenue, and resident satisfaction
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure operational excellence and consistency
- Monitor market trends, competitive performance, and local economic conditions to inform proactive decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant real estate experience
- 2+ years in asset management with exposure to stabilized and lease-up assets
- Proven experience overseeing multifamily or residential rental portfolios
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operating statements, budgets, and proformas
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to build, review, and communicate complex financial models
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant real estate experience, including 2+ years in asset management, with exposure to both stabilized and lease-up assets
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with property management and accounting systems
- Yardi experience
- CPM designation or progress toward CPM
