This role will support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency by managing the strategic arms control implementer certification process, supporting training programs, and performing knowledge management tasks, ensuring compliance with DTRA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Support the strategic arms control implementer certification process
- Maintain Inspector/Escort Certification status documents
- Maintain and issue training materials and provide direct instruction for department training plans
- Serve as a subject matter expert/advisor to the certification board on strategic nuclear arms control implementation
- Schedule and track completion of outside formal training courses
- Support Russian language training for interpreters and maintain language training materials
- Coordinate and facilitate the semi-annual Fundamentals of Strategic Arms Control Course
- Support implementation of long- and short-range training plans and oversee weekly/monthly arms control inspector/escort training
- Maintain databases for Official Inspection Activity Reports and Mission Reports on SharePoint
- Provide technical and administrative support to inspection teams during missions
- Review and update treaty, training, and mission materials and guidance documents
- Update OB-ST’s training section data in scheduling meetings and on the SIPRNET website
- Participate in training exercises and engagements to evaluate effectiveness and identify shortfalls
- Assist in the development and implementation of OB-ST’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform knowledge management duties to organize and preserve arms control training and implementation documents
- Assist in the design and implementation of a knowledge framework for the department
- Effectively use Microsoft Office business applications and other technical software
Requirements
- Subject matter expertise in strategic nuclear arms control implementation
- Experience supporting training programs (review/update course materials, course facilitator/instructor, technical/admin support)
- Experience using Microsoft Office business applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint)
