Armed Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting by conducting armed patrols, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible security presence. This role aims to reduce security-related incidents and ensure a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting
• Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state and local laws, and location-specific post orders
• Maintain required firearms qualifications
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related disturbances, disorderly conduct, and access control issues
• Notify emergency services when needed
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and other security concerns
• Complete security-related reports and logs
• Communicate key information to supervisors and/or client contacts
• Assist with investigations by documenting observations and preserving information per policy

Requirements

• Armed guard card and/or license is required
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• high school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton
• Customer service experience
• CPR and/or First Aid certification
