This role involves safeguarding clients across various industries, including tech, media, and telecom, by conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring a secure environment through access control and monitoring electronic systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and suspicious activity
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity
- Control access by checking identification, monitoring entrances and exits, and assisting with visitor management
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other electronic systems when assigned, and document and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns
- Complete detailed shift reports and incident reports, maintain logs, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership
- Support special events and peak traffic periods by providing visible presence, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with crowd management
Requirements
- 1+ years armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience
- Valid driver's license
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
