Architectural Intern

About This Role

Join the Jacobs Cities & Places team as an Architectural Summer Intern to gain practical experience and contribute to innovative projects. You will support architectural projects ranging from conceptual design to design development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site visits and surveys
• Contribute to conceptual design and management
• Participate in schematic design and design development
• Prepare and develop drawings, models, images, and other documents within a BIM focused environment
• Produce architectural designs and/or work with other designers using relevant architectural software
• Perform project and team administration duties
• Produce project related correspondence and reports
• Work directly with architectural colleagues and other specialists

Requirements

• In pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup, Enscape or other 3D visualization tools
• A portfolio of applicable recent work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of LEED/Sustainability requirements
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits or client meetings
• Authorization to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
• Proficiency in Grasshopper, MicroStation and / or AutoCAD
