Architectural Designer II (Retail)

About This Role

The Architectural Designer II will support national and regional retail clients by developing designs and drafting construction documents using 2D and 3D software. This role involves multitasking across multiple projects in different phases within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Design Team in the development of designs and drafting construction documents using 2D and 3D software.
• Independently tackle project challenges using education and experience, with support from the Design Team lead.
• Evaluate client requirements, building code, and zoning regulations to develop design recommendations.
• Perform architectural assignments focused on construction document production and coordination with regulatory authorities.
• Conduct building code analysis and research regulatory requirements to determine design constraints.
• Communicate and present design options and alternates to clients.
• Work with municipalities to secure entitlements and building permits.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with design intent.
• Produce accurate construction documents detailing the client's vision and goals.
• Document and analyze existing building conditions to produce as-built documents and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design or an Architectural Studies Degree Preferred
