Apply mathematics to solve challenging problems in communications, navigation, and timing for a not-for-profit company dedicated to public interest. This role involves developing and evaluating state-of-the-art navigation and communication technologies.
Responsibilities
- Apply technical expertise towards furthering the public good
- Develop, apply, and evaluate state-of-the-art navigation and communication technologies
- Develop state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms for navigation and communication systems
- Develop next generation signals for communications, satellite, and radio navigation
- Develop techniques for detecting, locating, and identifying signals
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience with a Master's or PhD, or 5 years with a Bachelor's
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or other modeling and data analysis software tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Must be a U.S Citizen
- Desire to apply a strong math background to real-world applications and to develop skills in communications, navigation, and timing
- Minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
Qualifications
- PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline preferred; or a Bachelor's degree or Master's with relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s or PhD with relevant experience
Nice to Have
- PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline
- Experience with applying theory to real world applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Ability to build collaborative and mutually beneficial working relationships with people of different backgrounds
