API Developer

About This Role

This role is for an experienced API Developer to design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs on AWS for a healthcare client. The developer will integrate Amazon Bedrock for data automation and AI-driven workflows while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs on AWS
• Build serverless backend services using AWS Lambda and API Gateway
• Integrate Amazon Bedrock for data automation and AI workflows
• Develop and manage data ingestion and analytics pipelines
• Ensure secure handling of healthcare data in compliance with HIPAA
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Implement logging, monitoring, and performance optimization

Requirements

• Strong experience as an API / Backend Developer
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, CloudWatch etc.)
• Experience with Big Data Analytics (ETL, data pipelines, analytics tools)
• Experience or exposure to Amazon Bedrock
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Node.js)
• Strong understanding of security and data privacy best practices

Qualifications

• Strong experience as an API / Backend Developer

Nice to Have

• Experience working with healthcare or regulated environments
