This role involves performing safe patient transfers, assisting in room turnovers, and preparing supplies and equipment in the operating room. The technician ensures anesthesia machines, electronic equipment, transport equipment, and supply carts are clean, safe, and ready for use across various patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient transfer of patients
- Assist in room turnovers
- Assist in case preparation
- Gather and set up supplies and equipment
- Participate in department in-services and staff meetings
- Communicate in hand-off reports to the Charge Nurse and peers
- Ensure anesthesia machines are clean, safe, and ready for service
- Ensure electronic equipment is clean, safe, and ready for service
- Ensure transport equipment is clean, safe, and ready for service
- Ensure supply carts are clean, safe, and ready for service
Requirements
- 2 years of Operating room assistant, anesthesia technician, or central supply experience
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Qualifications
- 2 years of Operating room assistant, anesthesia technician, or central supply experience.
Nice to Have
- Associate's Degree
