Analytics Engineer

About This Role

This role involves supporting the Space Warfighting Analysis Center / Spectrum Warfare Program by applying strong analytical and technical skills in the cyber domain, integrating cyber effects into simulation tools, and leading force design analysis for cyber resiliency in space and ground architectures. The position requires understanding and addressing customer analytical needs through direct interface, developing strong partner relationships, and briefing senior leaders regularly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and lead segments of force design analysis for cyber resiliency effects, specifically related to space and ground architectures for fielded, programmed, and objective forces.
• Work as part of a larger team with customers, external partners and vendors, scientists, developers, engineers, managers, technicians, and support personnel.
• Understand and address customer analytical needs and issues, usually by direct interface.
• Develop and encourage a strong partner relationship with the customer and engineering leadership teams.
• Lead complex system analytics by organizing and focusing the work of multiple engineers with diverse specialties on a common technical solution.
• Brief industry partners, senior leaders, and general officers regularly and sometimes with little lead time.
• Work with the Division Chief to ensure the technical team has clear deliverables with clear deadlines while keeping team focused on delivering world class analytics that include cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

• B.S. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science (or Engineering), Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM focus area
• Experience with space systems and cyber effects on those systems, network service orchestration, cyber threat analysis, and cyber resiliency metrics
• 5+ years of technical analytics experience
• Ability to understand complex technical issues, translate them to workable tasks, and guide analytical discussions and decisions
• Experience with cloud-based services (AWS or Azure)
• Experience managing complex analytics development with loosely defined requirements
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a complex environment with partners
• Proficiency in task management
• Ability to organize and lead a geographically dispersed team that includes subcontractor team members
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while making direct contributions to team success
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Qualifications

• B.S. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science (or Engineering), Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM focus area
• 5+ years of technical analytics experience

Nice to Have

• M.S. in a degree field applicable to complex technical analysis and/or systems engineering
• 10+ years of analytical experience with cyber related effects on space systems, network service orchestration, cyber threat analysis, and cyber resiliency metrics
• Experience with Cloud technologies: VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, EKS, Lambda, RDS
• AWS Solutions Architect professional certification
• Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, VPN infrastructure, load balancing, application firewalls, and distributed networks
• Experience with Department of War (DoW) technical programs
• Demonstrated success managing high tempo projects
