Analyst - Investment Banking

About This Role

This role will support deal execution and commercial activities for mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory, restructuring, and capital markets transactions, with a focus on clients in the western market. The Analyst will execute rigorous financial analysis and apply transaction execution skills to assignments within a leading, independent investment banking firm.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior bankers and clients in a lean team setting, demonstrating initiative, ownership, judgment, and professionalism while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Coordinate complex, time-sensitive workstreams across internal teams and external parties, including clients, legal advisors, and other transaction participants
• Actively participate in transaction execution, developing and reviewing financial analyses and models
• Develop and review transaction structures, financing alternatives, implementation paths, and scenario analyses
• Support senior bankers in client-facing interactions, commercial activities and deal execution
• Prepare, review, and present client materials, including pitch books, strategic advisory presentations, and transaction presentations
• Monitor, track, interpret and inform team on market activity and industry activity, including comparable transactions, credit implications, and investor lists
• Maintain internal transaction and pipeline tracking tools, ensuring accuracy and organization
• Manage day-to-day transaction execution workstreams, including senior banker and client requests and analysis on time with strong attention to detail

Requirements

• Experience in investment banking with strong technical and corporate finance foundation
• Strong organizational and process-management skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in preparing client presentations and analyzing company and transaction comparables
• Highly collaborative and team-oriented professional with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the maturity to interface directly with clients, investors, and senior deal bankers
• Proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit that is comfortable operating within a lean organization and a desire to play an integral role in business development efforts / strategies

Qualifications

• Experience in investment banking with strong technical and corporate finance foundation.
