Airport Security Part Time Officer

About This Role

As an Airport Security Officer, you will maintain the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities by conducting patrols, monitoring access, and responding to incidents in Kailua-Kona, HI.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Perform emergency response activities within a government airport location when appropriate
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, corridors, curbside zones, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter points
• Monitor access control points and deter unauthorized entry by checking credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting irregular activity
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, alarms, and/or suspicious items
• Coordinate with site personnel and public agencies as directed during incidents
• Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
