Agriculture Intern, Data Analytics

About This Role

This paid internship program offers hands-on experience in crop analytics, contributing to critical decision-making for sourcing potatoes. The intern will work on building data visualizations, automating data pipelines, and improving predictive crop models.

Responsibilities

• Automate data pipelines within the department’s various systems
• Improve yield modeling training and execution through automated ETL process
• Build API connections to relevant internal and external Ag datasets
• Build Power BI dashboards
• Import open-source satellite imagery

Requirements

• Current Junior, Senior, or Master’s student enrolled in a related program (Data Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field)
• Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred
• Full-time availability (8-hour shifts Monday-Friday, with occasional flexibility)
• Ability to meet Lamb Weston Authorized Driver standards

Qualifications

• Junior, Senior, or Master’s student enrolled in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with data modeling, automation, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with AWS technologies (S3, Lambda, & Glue)
• Experience with Power BI
