About This Role

The Administrator in Training (AIT) will learn overall facility operations to provide leadership in quality patient care, aligning with all laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. This role will cover key areas including financial operations, human resources, customer service, business development, and clinical operations to prepare for relocation and take on an administrator role.

Responsibilities

  • Learn overall facility operations to provide leadership in quality patient care
  • Uphold policies pertaining to patient care, caregiving, support staff, financial control, public relations, and physical plant maintenance
  • Consult with the facility management team on policy implementation
  • Learn budget management to meet facility needs and division goals
  • Ensure facility compliance with all Federal, State, local, and JCAHO requirements
  • Serve as the facility’s Compliance Liaison
  • Ensure the facility is clean and safe for patients, families, and staff
  • Serve as an effective representative for the company in the community
  • Ensure census goals are met
  • Prepare and operate within the annual budget
  • Effectively supervise the team
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years of management experience in long term care
  • Active state license in good standing as a Nursing Home Administrator or eligibility to sit for exam after AIT Training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2-3 years of management experience in long term care is required. Three (3) or more years' successful post acute care experience preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Three (3) or more years' successful post acute care experience
  • Certification with American College (ACHCA)
