About This Role

This role is responsible for providing comprehensive addiction counseling services to a caseload of clients, supporting their long-term recovery, and ensuring compliance with program and state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of clients according to program and state requirements
  • Complete evaluations and assessments including screening, intake, clinical assessments, ASAM, and biopsychosocial histories
  • Develop individual treatment plans upon client admission
  • Document all clinical services and interventions in the client's electronic health record within 24-72 hours
  • Conduct individual and group sessions based on client treatment plan goals and level of care
  • Participate in funding source reviews and provide recommendations for treatment and length of stay
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Coordinate with agency and community resources to facilitate a comprehensive treatment plan
  • Assist clients in developing a discharge/continuing care plan and connecting with resources
  • Follow up with discharged clients based on regulatory guidelines until established with other services

Requirements

  • DC Health Professional Licensing Administration (HPLA) licensure as CAC, LPC, LGSW, or LICSW

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related fields
