Activities Assistant

About This Role

Assist the Salus Lifestyle Coach in providing diversified programs and activities for residents, ensuring their engagement in cultural, spiritual, physical, and social pursuits. Contribute to the overall well-being of the elderly residents at Sonata Delray Beach.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to all Residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors of Residents
• Facilitate socialization among Residents
• Invite and/or remind Residents to participate in planned activities
• Work with other Program Associates to coordinate joint programs
• Conduct/lead majority of programs
• Be flexible in work schedule to accommodate special events and evening/weekend programs
• Train, support, and instruct volunteers to assist with activities as needed
• Plan, coordinate, and help implement decorations for special events, seasons, and holidays
• Coordinate family functions and events
• Plan weekly excursions
• Identify to Salus Lifestyle Coach needed supplies for planned activities
• Assist with transportation for activity outings and regularly scheduled group trips
• Drive the company vehicle for Resident activities and appointments when needed, if certified and approved

Requirements

• Experienced in activity planning, preferably with seniors
• Experienced and interested in working with seniors
• Possesses creative activity skills
• Demonstrates organizational skills
• Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality
• State driver license required with clean driving record and completion of all HR policies and procedures for Community driver
