Accounting Manager

About This Role

Manage core accounting duties such as journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, reporting, controls, and audits. This role involves overseeing a team of 3-4 staff members and identifying opportunities for functionalization and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff who execute monthly SG&A / Other income / Cash JE's, Recons, Estimates
• Coordinate Month-end results and report actuals and variances to Forecast to various parties
• Manage relationships and information sharing across departments
• Evolve business structure / create more functional alignment & create efficiencies in processes
• Audit and control oversight
• Lead special projects
• Research and resolve issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups)
• Demonstrated familiarity in working with large data sets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
• 5+ years of accounting experience

• Experience with Hyperion Essbase
• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
• Month-end close experience
• Financial statement preparation
• Demonstrated solid attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner, solving complex accounting issues and transactions
• Proven solid oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic working environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
