Manage core accounting duties such as journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, reporting, controls, and audits. This role involves overseeing a team of 3-4 staff members and identifying opportunities for functionalization and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staff who execute monthly SG&A / Other income / Cash JE's, Recons, Estimates
- Coordinate Month-end results and report actuals and variances to Forecast to various parties
- Manage relationships and information sharing across departments
- Evolve business structure / create more functional alignment & create efficiencies in processes
- Audit and control oversight
- Lead special projects
- Research and resolve issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups)
- Demonstrated familiarity in working with large data sets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
- Month-end close experience
- Financial statement preparation
- Demonstrated solid attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner, solving complex accounting issues and transactions
- Proven solid oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic working environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
