About This Role

The Accounting Assistant will ensure accuracy in spreadsheets, issue invoices, review and file payroll documents, and manage cash receipts. This part-time role supports financial operations, focusing on driver commissions and customer billing.

Responsibilities

  • Check spreadsheets for accuracy
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners
  • Review and file payroll documents
  • Perform accurate data entry of driver commission details from QuickBooks into Excel spreadsheets
  • Calculate weekly driver commissions for approximately 100 drivers and cut their checks
  • Manage the cash receipts process, ensuring timely and accurate recording
  • Assist with billing activities for repeat customers

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with Excel Spreadsheets

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
