Join the Accessibility Team as a Quality Engineer/Tester, responsible for accessibility testing web-based, Windows desktop, and native mobile applications. This role ensures compliance with WCAG standards and requires expertise in assistive technologies.
Responsibilities
- Test web-based applications for accessibility compliance
- Test Windows desktop applications for accessibility compliance
- Test native mobile applications (iOS and Android) for accessibility compliance
- Utilize defect tracking tools like JIRA and Confluence for expert-level issue tracking
- Employ various assistive technologies including JAWS, Voiceover, and Talkback for comprehensive testing
- Use accessibility testing tools such as AMP, Continuum, Wave, aXe, and V-PAT
- Convey accessibility issues to developers and technical partners verbally and in writing, including ARIA use
- Prepare detailed reports documenting violations and suggesting solutions with code examples
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand accessibility requirements
- Work in an agile environment
Requirements
- 5-6 years of experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and 2.1 Combined
- Experience in accessibility testing web-based applications and Windows desktop
- Experience in accessibility testing native mobile applications on iOS and Android
- Expert level using a defect tracking tool such as JIRA and Confluence
- Expert level user of various assistive technologies such as JAWS (must), Voiceover, or Talkback and certified
- Experience using accessibility testing tools such as AMP (Accessibility Management Platform), Continuum, Wave or WorldSpace / aXe, and V-PAT
- Proven ability to identifying creative approaches to accessibility challenges and problems
- Ability to convey issues to developers and technical partners verbally and in writing to include use of ARIA for web technologies such as HTML and mobile platforms
- In depth knowledge of web technologies including HTML.CSS & JavaScript
- Experience in WA-ARIA authoring best practices
- Effective written and verbal communication skill
- Experience in working with developer, product owners to understand accessibility requirement
- Working experience in agile environment
- Strong collaboration skills managing cross-functional stakeholders relationship
- Experience in preparing detailed reports, documenting identified violations with suggested solutions, including code examples based on existing design
Qualifications
- 5-6 years of experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and 2.1Combined, experience in accessibility testing web-based applications, Windows desktop, and native mobile applications on iOS and Android.
