About This Role

This role is for a dedicated Child Interventionist/Behavior Technician who will directly assist children with autism in developing vital skills like communication, social interaction, and self-care. It involves collaborating with families to implement ABA-based behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)
  • Observe, record, and report on client's progress, condition, and behavior daily
  • Manage challenging behaviors
  • Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients
  • Assist clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, behavioral analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients
  • Function as an active member of the treatment team
  • Complete daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through an online database
  • Actively participate in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information
  • Follow Butterfly Effects' policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Passion for working with children
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Personal vehicle
  • Auto insurance with name listed
  • Tablet or Laptop computer for sessions
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Entry-level or experienced, prior experience with children is advantageous.
