This role is for a dedicated Child Interventionist/Behavior Technician who will directly assist children with autism in developing vital skills like communication, social interaction, and self-care. It involves collaborating with families to implement ABA-based behavior intervention plans.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)
- Observe, record, and report on client's progress, condition, and behavior daily
- Manage challenging behaviors
- Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients
- Assist clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, behavioral analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients
- Function as an active member of the treatment team
- Complete daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through an online database
- Actively participate in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Follow Butterfly Effects' policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passion for working with children
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license
- Personal vehicle
- Auto insurance with name listed
- Tablet or Laptop computer for sessions
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Entry-level or experienced, prior experience with children is advantageous.
