This year-round internship allows students to gain hands-on experience in Supply Chain within a Fortune 150 transportation and logistics company. Interns will work on projects equivalent to an entry-level analyst position, contributing to the crucial Supply Chain process.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform core department business group work tasks, processes, and customer services
- Analyze data, address customer inquiries, and collaborate with external stakeholders
- Offer operational support for department business group managers
- Develop and execute project action plans and perform team assignments
- Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts within departments and across the company
- Assist with project management for various company initiatives and complete administrative tasks and special projects
Requirements
- Must be a full-time student
- College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Basic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills
- Solid understanding of basic Supply Chain concepts and processes
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- 18 years of age or older
Qualifications
- College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree with preference for Supply Chain Management, Logistics / Transportation, or other business-related degrees
Nice to Have
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Intermediate computer skills and able to learn UP's Accounting systems and databases
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
