Women's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

About This Role

This role supports FamilyWell's mission to provide high-quality mental health services to pregnant, postpartum, and menopausal individuals. The PMNHP will collaborate with a care team to advise on or provide direct medication management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits via telehealth for FamilyWell program participants
• Provide treatment recommendations for patients needing more intensive or specialized mental health care
• Complete pre-conception medication consultation and psycho-education for individuals trying to conceive
• Perform asynchronous caseload consultations through review of clinical information and medical records
• Complete documentation for case consultations and direct patient visits within 24 hours
• Work with care managers to oversee the status and population health of their assigned patient caseload
• Provide the care team with educational support on diagnosing and managing behavioral health conditions
• Be available to provide occasional ad hoc telephone, email, or telehealth consultations to OB providers for complex patients

Requirements

• Independently licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner in CT
• Able to practice independently without supervision in the state(s) of licensure
• Hold an active DEA license in state(s) of licensure
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive, flexible, and solution-focused attitude
• Ability to quickly synthesize medical and psychiatric data and formulate effective and evidence-based clinical recommendations
• Passion for improving perinatal mental healthcare delivery
