Operate and program Wire EDM machines using Esprit to produce high-precision components for progressive stamping operations, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM machines using Esprit
- Machine precision components for progressive dies, tooling, and fixtures
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, die designs, and solid models
- Perform necessary offsets, adjustments, and routine machine care
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gages, and other precision instruments
- Support toolmakers and die engineers with tooling requirements
- Troubleshoot fixturing, cutting conditions, and programming issues
- Maintain all documentation and meet internal quality standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Requirements
- Proficiency in Esprit for wire EDM programming (2D & 3D paths)
- Strong understanding of progressive die tooling, die components, and tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Solid math and measurement skills
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a progressive die stamping environment
