About This Role

This part-time contractual position involves performing in-person WIC eligibility determinations, health and nutrition screenings, and providing basic nutrition counseling and benefit issuance to eligible participants.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-person eligibility determination for Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)
  • Conduct in-person health and nutrition screening and referral services to WIC applicants
  • Provide in-person basic nutrition counseling to WIC clients
  • Issue WIC benefits to eligible participants

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of experience in health or human service delivery (program eligibility determination, health screening, client referral, or nutrition education) OR 60 college credit hours

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
  • One year of experience in health or human service delivery, performing tasks such as program eligibility determination, health screening, client referral services, or nutrition education. Or completion of 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university.

Nice to Have

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience working with pregnant women, families, children, or in a medical setting
