About This Role

Analyze project specifications and provide accurate cost assessments for water, wastewater, and industrial plant projects. This role requires technical precision and the ability to meet firm bidding deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed, itemized material estimates from owner/contractor plan sets according to project specifications (Quantity Take-offs)
• Research plans to identify special material requirements and ensure all supplied materials meet engineering standards (Technical Analysis)
• Track addenda and design changes throughout the bidding process, updating estimates accordingly (Project Monitoring)
• Partner with clients, engineers, and internal teams to define project scope and achieve department goals (Collaboration)
• Work independently to ensure all bids and tasks are completed accurately by the stated due dates (Deadline Management)

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in estimating or bid preparation (or 2+ years with an MA/MS)
• Proficiency in process piping for water, wastewater, or industrial facilities
• Advanced Excel skills
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in estimating or bid preparation (or 2+ years with an MA/MS)
