Water/Wastewater Engineer

About This Role

Lead critical plant upgrade and expansion projects in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, delivering technical and design services while supporting local communities. The role offers direct mentorship from an industry leader and a structured pathway to future leadership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical and design services on a range of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Support treatment facility upgrades, pipeline and pump station design, and utility system evaluations
• Prepare drawings, reports, technical specifications, and permitting documents
• Collaborate closely with project teams while also taking ownership of individual tasks
• Join client meetings and help sustain and grow project relationships

Requirements

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• PE license in NC or ability to obtain through reciprocity
• 5-10 years of relevant water/wastewater design experience
• Strong communication skills and an interest in becoming more client-facing
