Waterpark Assistant Operations Manager

About This Role

The Waterpark Assistant Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and guest-focused operation of all aquatic attractions at OKANA Resort. This position works closely with Waterpark Managers to oversee daily operations, uphold safety and cleanliness standards, and deliver exceptional guest experiences as the Manager on Duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and counseling to the team
• Clearly communicate daily responsibilities of each team member
• Recognize and reward team members for service and safety achievements
• Conduct all required training to stay current with water park and OSHA standards
• Maintain documentation of inspections highlighting potential safety concerns
• Work closely with Engineering & Housekeeping for maintenance and cleaning needs
• Recruit, onboard, train & schedule lifeguards and other service personnel
• Communicate with Human Resources on staffing needs
• Lead the team to provide exceptional customer service and a safe environment
• Participate in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for waterpark operation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years in Waterpark Management
• Lifeguard Certified or Lifeguard Instructor Certified
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license
