Warehouse Selector

About This Role

As a Warehouse Selector, you will safely operate material handling equipment, diligently pick and pack customer orders, and maintain inventory accuracy in a multi-temperature warehouse environment. Your role is crucial for ensuring efficient and safe product movement and delivery within the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (with certification for forklift)
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying accuracy of orders and product quality
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards
• Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory
• Follow all QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols
• Use handheld scanners to pick and pack customer orders accurately
• Conduct cycle counts and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy
• Follow FEFO (First Expired, First Out) procedures for food products
• Use a voice-directed picking system (VoCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders

Requirements

• Comfort working in varying temperatures including freezer and cooler environments
• Strong attention to detail
• Teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation (for Selector position)
• Strong reading and math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation

Nice to Have

• Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners
