This role involves performing general labor tasks focused on janitorial work and sanitation within a warehouse distribution center. The position ensures a safe and clean environment while contributing to the overall efficiency of operations.
Responsibilities
- Engage in housekeeping and some building maintenance projects
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Operate an EPJ or become certified to do so
- Become certified to operate a garbage compactor and baler
- Empty trash cans and trash crates
- Perform project work as directed by leadership
- Comply with all safety, security, and company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Ability to operate an EPJ or to be certified
- Ability to be certified to operate a garbage compactor and baler
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, reach above shoulders and below waist
- Ability to work both indoor and outdoor
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
- Ability to communicate in English
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner
- Observes safety and security procedures and reports unsafe conditions
- Consistently at work and on time
- Follows instructions and responds to management direction
