About This Role

This Vocational Counselor role supports individuals in their journey to employment through rehabilitation activities, job search assistance, and skill training, ensuring successful job placement and coordination with various agencies and employers.

Responsibilities

Develop competitive community jobs and skill-building activities for employment
Provide consistent vocational assessments to facilitate job success
Identify employment programs and eligibility to ensure access for individuals
Coach individuals and provide appropriate interventions in coordination with employers
Research and develop community contracts to assist with job placements
Complete reporting related to program measurements
Coordinate with clinical teams and therapists on vocational objectives
Find employment for diverse populations with serious and persistent mental illness
Work in the community 60% of the time

Requirements

Bachelor degree in rehabilitation or related field

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in rehabilitation or related field

Nice to Have

Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner

Benefits

Language Differential - $2.50/hr for bilingual proficiency in Spanish & ASL

Certifications

Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (or willingness to obtain within one year) (Required)
