Video Editor - Beauty / Cosmetics

About This Role

This role involves crafting engaging video content for various digital platforms, including social media and digital paid ad campaigns, specifically for beauty, cosmetics, or fashion brands. The Video Editor will maintain high standards of post-production quality while collaborating with creative and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior editors and creative leadership in shaping video content for short-form and long-form platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, brand films, sizzles, and case studies
• Import, transcode, sync, and organize raw footage and assets within established workflows
• Build rough assemblies and string outs based on creative briefs or scripts, maintaining clear timelines and labeling systems
• Support light color correction, audio leveling, and motion graphics under guidance from senior editors
• Keep project files organized and manage storage workflows across shared drives and cloud platforms
• Export, encode, and deliver final videos in multiple aspect ratios and codecs optimized for social and digital platforms
• Manage revisions, versioning, and delivery according to specifications and stakeholder feedback
• Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure consistency with brand standards
• Troubleshoot common post-production issues and assist with basic software/hardware setup when necessary
• Stay current on emerging editing tools, platform requirements, and content best practices

Requirements

• Must have experience in video editing for beauty, cosmetics, or fashion brands
• Recent samples of social-specific video editing work showcasing edits and motion edits for social media and digital platforms
• 3+ years of hands-on video editing or post-production experience
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
• Strong understanding of video codecs, terminology, and editing workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of hands-on video editing or post-production experience

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve
• Experience working with ARRI / RED / Canon / Phantom footage workflows
