About This Role

This Unit Clerk CNA position focuses on preparing records, processing orders, and providing direct patient care within the hospital's OB Services department, supporting the nursing philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and patient charges accurately and timely
• Answer telephone and call lights, relaying messages to patients and staff
• Direct visitors to patients' rooms
• Maintain medical records of current patients
• Manage supplies, including scanning, stocking, ordering, and disposing of items
• Provide patient care according to standards, routines, policies, and CNA job duties
• Document provided care according to standards
• Maintain a clean work and patient environment
• Float to various units based on identified needs
• Participate in department and unit performance improvement activities

Requirements

• Completion of a CNA program
• Nursing Assistant Certification in applicable state
• Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program
• Entry level

• Advanced CNA program
• Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on the job training

Certifications
