Underwriting Processing Analyst

About This Role

Support the underwriting team within a wholesale insurance brokerage by processing new business, renewals, and endorsements, and managing document flow between retail agents and carriers. This role requires accuracy, organization, and familiarity with insurance industry workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters by processing submissions, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
• Review application materials for completeness and accuracy before submission to carriers
• Enter and maintain accurate data in agency management systems (e.g., AMS360, Sagitta, or similar)
• Track quote requests, bind orders, and follow up on outstanding documentation
• Generate and issue certificates, invoices, binders, and other standard policy documents
• Communicate with retail agents, carriers, and internal teams regarding status updates and documentation
• Maintain underwriting files and ensure compliance with internal and carrier-specific guidelines
• Support underwriters in gathering loss runs, MVRs, and other underwriting data as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 3-5 years of experience in an administrative, processing, or assistant role in the insurance industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in an administrative, processing, or assistant role in the insurance industry

Nice to Have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
• Familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., AMS360, Sagitta, or similar)
• Experience in a wholesale, retail, MGA, carrier, or E&S insurance environment
• Proficient understanding of property & casualty insurance, specifically in Commercial Lines
