As an Underground Coax Splicer, you will be part of a construction team that produces high-quality work using specialized skills in splicing, activation, testing, and troubleshooting to expand technology. You will update existing plant, plant extensions, and new building construction.
Responsibilities
- Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground cables.
- Optimize new nodes and splice node splits to reduce capacity.
- Utilize RF meters and Time Domain Reflectometers (TDRs).
- Read CATV telecom designs and blueprints.
- Work on outdoor utility construction sites.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in splicing and sweeping.
- Ability to work on ladders or in a bucket truck.
- Proficiency in solving difficult problems with a hands-on approach.
- Proven track record of completing quality work.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime.
