Unarmed Security Clerk

About This Role

Serve as an Unarmed Security Clerk overseeing warehouse and truck gate operations for Security Solution of America in Suffolk, VA. This role involves monitoring premises, controlling access, responding to incidents, and ensuring inventory and vehicle integrity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
• Verify credentials of staff, visitors, and delivery personnel entering and exiting the warehouse
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches
• Ensure the safety and security of stored goods; report any discrepancies or damages
• Maintain logs of daily activities, observations, and incidents
• Enforce warehouse rules, safety procedures, and company policies
• Check and verify driver credentials, vehicle documentation, and shipping/receiving paperwork at the truck gate
• Inspect incoming and outgoing trucks for unauthorized items or tampering
• Maintain accurate records of all vehicle movements in gate pass/electronic systems
• Confirm bill of lading or manifest against physical cargo to prevent theft or discrepancies

Requirements

• DCJS Unarmed security License
• Weekend availability
• Moderate computer skills
• Neat appearance and grooming
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background investigation
• Reliable transportation and phone
