About This Role

This role is responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access, and responding to incidents at a warehouse or truck gate for a security guard and patrol company. The position involves verifying credentials, inspecting vehicles, maintaining records, and enforcing company policies to ensure the safety and security of assets and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
• Verify credentials of staff, visitors, and delivery personnel.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches.
• Ensure the safety and security of stored goods; report any discrepancies or damages.
• Maintain logs of daily activities, observations, and incidents.
• Enforce warehouse rules, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Assist in the training of new security personnel when needed.
• Check and verify driver credentials, vehicle documentation, and shipping/receiving paperwork.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing trucks for unauthorized items or tampering.
• Maintain accurate records of all vehicle movements in gate pass/electronic systems.
• Confirm bill of lading or manifest against physical cargo to prevent theft or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and management regarding truck issues.
• Act as first responder to incidents at the gate and follow protocol.
• Prepare daily reports on gate activity, incidents, or security breaches.

• Moderate computer skills
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background investigation
• Reliable transportation and phone
