Treatment Director

About This Role

This role is for a Treatment Director at StepStone Family & Youth Services, responsible for providing individual and group therapy, developing psychotherapy plans, and serving as a liaison between families and other community professionals. The director will also provide consultative services to team members and supervise clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions to clients and document the sessions
• Develop psychotherapy plans with goals and objectives
• Serve as a member of the treatment team
• Provide consultative Services to team members
• Serve as a liaison between Community Youth Services and the biological families of clients
• Provide family counseling sessions to biological family and clients
• Serve as a liaison between Community Youth Services and other community based treatment professionals
• Lead clinical staff, providing guidance on treatment planning
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements
• Carry an outpatient workload of 10+ hours per week and launch outpatient clinics

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a Human Services field
• Five years of experience in mental health treatment of children with emotional or behavioral disabilities and their families (since Oct 2007)
• Working knowledge and understanding of culture and its function in human behavior and society
• Ability to deliver services sensitive to client’s cultures
• Ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families
• Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role
• Active LCSW license
• Immediately eligible to provide CSW supervision
• Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and supervision within foster care, behavioral health, or child welfare settings
• Ability to step into supervisory responsibilities upon hire

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a Human Services field
• At least five years of experience in mental health treatment of children with emotional or behavioral disabilities and their families since October 17, 2007. Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and supervision within foster care, behavioral health, or child welfare settings.
