Traveling Superintendent

About This Role

The Superintendent 2 will plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned construction projects with some complexity. This role focuses on managing materials and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete, and meeting project goals for timely and profitable completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the company’s safety culture and investigate safety incidents.
• Provide management of subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow.
• Manage and oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work and manage the project schedule.
• Coordinate and manage the care, custody, and control of the project site.
• Track and monitor project budget and costs, approving unit cost information and completing daily reports.
• Manage material and equipment needs for the project and support procurement processes.
• Ensure quality compliance through specifications, setting quality standards, and coordinating closeout activities.
• Identify, understand, and actively manage project risks.
• Lead, support, and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

• 5+ years construction experience
• 3+ years field supervision experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years construction experience; 3+ years field supervision experience.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
• Experience with Lean principles
