Serve as a Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse in Tyler, Texas, providing cardiac care to a diverse patient population in a hospital setting. This role, offered by American Traveler, focuses on 12-hour night shifts and requires adaptability to float to other units.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Telemetry Unit with 36 private rooms
- Serve patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics with a focus on cardiac care and post-intervention recovery
- Maintain a typical patient ratio of 1:6
- Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as required
- Work night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:30)
- Work every other weekend
- Utilize EPIC EMR for charting
- Care for cardiac patients post-surgery, after coronary artery stent placement, pacemaker implants, and stable non-procedural cardiac cases
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience with previous travel assignment required
- Current BLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Cannot reside in specified local counties or within 50 miles of the facility
- Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
