Travel Speech Language Pathologist

About This Role

Provide skilled speech therapy services by assessing patient needs, planning and evaluating care, and modifying interventions to help patients develop or recover communication and swallowing skills, enabling them to fulfill their educational, vocational, and social roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, and/or language deficits
• Teach patients to make sounds, improve voices, or increase oral/written language skills for effective communication
• Teach individuals to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow safely
• Provide skilled speech therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills

Requirements

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or proactively in the application process
• At least one year of professional working experience
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current CPR certification
• Must have CCC's
