Travel Physical Therapist

About This Role

This is a travel Physical Therapist role responsible for assessing and treating patients in need of rehabilitation services. The Physical Therapist will develop and administer treatment programs, document patient conditions, and educate patients and families on appropriate physical therapy methods.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services, including their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined by patient capacity and tolerance under physician direction
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients
• Document and record patient conditions
• Educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods
• Develop a plan of care for each physical therapy patient
• Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school
• Minimum one year's experience as a Physical Therapist
• Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist / PT or actively applying for licensure
• Current CPR certification

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy OR a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and have passed the NPTE
• Minimum one year's experience as a Physical Therapist
