Travel Physical Therapist

About This Role

This travel Physical Therapist role involves assessing patients requiring rehabilitation services, providing direct patient care, and developing individualized treatment programs with specific goals. The therapist will also educate patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services, including medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, restrictions, and rehabilitation potential
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under physician's direction
• Develop a plan of care for each physical therapy patient
• Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients
• Document and record the patient's condition
• Educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school
• Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist / PT or proactively in the process of application
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum one year experience

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy OR a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and passed the NPTE
• Minimum one year's experience
