Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics

About This Role

This role is for a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting in Oklahoma City, providing comprehensive nursing care for a diverse range of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary
• Administer medication as prescribed, initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Deliver patient care competently
• Interact with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge
• Inform patient and family of hospital procedures
• Delegate tasks to support staff

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in nursing
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Computer skills
• Associate's Degree in Nursing

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• 1 year of experience
