This role is for a travel Registered Nurse specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Pulmonary Stepdown unit, providing high-quality nursing care to patients in Asheville, NC. The position involves monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pulmonary stepdown/PCU patients
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, oxygenation, and respiratory status
- Administer medications, treatments, and respiratory therapies as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policy
Requirements
- Active RN license (compact or NC preferred)
- 2+ years of recent PCU/Stepdown or Telemetry experience
- Strong pulmonary/respiratory patient care background
- BLS required
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent PCU/Stepdown or Telemetry experience
Nice to Have
- ACLS preferred
