Provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit, managing conditions such as cardiac disease, renal and liver disease, and respiratory issues, while ensuring quality and safe patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to an adult patient population on the Medical Step Down Unit
- Monitor patients requiring continuous non-invasive telemetry
- Manage acute exacerbation of acute or chronic medical conditions
- Handle frequent diagnoses such as CAD, CHF, R/O MI, End Stage Renal and Liver Disease, compromised respiratory disease, Sepsis, CVA, IV Therapy and Dialysis (PD)
- Contribute to quality indicators in patient care
- Adhere to Patient Family Centered Care principles
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, PCU
- BLS-AHA certification
- ACLS-AHA certification
- CERT-NIH Stroke Scale
- IV Insertion skills
- 80 Mile Radius Rule
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, PCU
