Join as a Travel Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) to provide critical care for neonates in Lake Forest, Illinois. This role involves assisting with high-risk deliveries and managing the care of infants from 29-34 weeks gestation.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Assist with and attend high-risk deliveries
- Perform neonatal assessment and monitoring
- Stabilize and provide ongoing care for SCN/NICU patients
- Support delivery room for high-risk births
- Manage feeding and GI-related neonatal care
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Special Care Nursery (SCN) experience
- Comfortable assisting with and attending high-risk deliveries
- Experience working in Level II NICU settings
- Hands-on experience caring for neonates (29–34 weeks gestation)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Special Care Nursery (SCN) experience
Nice to Have
- Experience managing neonatal gastrointestinal conditions
