Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

About This Role

Serve as a travel nurse in the ICU or PCU, floating between units as needed, providing critical care to patients in a Level 1 or 2 facility. This role involves managing complex patient conditions and various medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Float between ICU and PCU units
• Perform IV therapy, including A-lines, central/PICC care, and blood product administration
• Manage ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP machines
• Conduct cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Titrate vasoactive drips, IV sedation, and emergency medications
• Administer IV insulin protocols
• Provide surgical wound, drain, and wound vac care

Requirements

• Comfortable floating in all ICU & PCU units
• Charting experience with EPIC
• ICU experience (Large Level 1/2 facility required)
• Proficient in IV therapy, A-lines, central/PICC care, blood products
• Proficient in ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia management
• Proficient in titration of vasoactive drips, IV sedation, emergency meds
• Proficient in IV insulin protocols
• Proficient in surgical wound/drain/wound vac care

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ICU experience in a large Level 1/2 facility is preferred; first-time travelers accepted.
