Provide specialized intensive care to critically ill adult patients in a Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SICU and Neuro ICU). Focus on conditions such as major surgical procedures, multi-trauma, traumatic brain injury, and multi-organ system failure. This travel nurse role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to critically ill adult patients (14 and older) in the SICU and Neuro ICU
- Perform comprehensive physical assessments
- Conduct intensive monitoring and treatment of laboratory values
- Manage ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring
- Assist with procedures such as arterial line placement, central line placement, and EVD placement
Requirements
- Competency with EVDs, bolts, and ICP management
- Experience with trauma and complex surgical patients
- Recent Trauma Level One Experience
- EPIC Experience
- One reference within the past 12 months from a manager or Supervisor
Qualifications
- 1.5 years of 600+ bed academic hospital experience or 2 years of total experience (traveling + permanent) in ICU
