Provide emergency care for patients with various illnesses and trauma as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. Assess, intervene, and stabilize life-threatening conditions with decisive action.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients from various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention
- Recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions
- Assess, intervene and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action
- Be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues
- Understand triage in order to prioritize injuries based on medical need
- Make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting
